Ambassador Task Force
In 1999, Canada's Technology Triangle Inc established a select collection of businesspersons in Waterloo Region to act as 'Ambassadors' for the area. This network of individuals represent and promote the area abroad, as well as at home while hosting visitors.
By 2004, the number of Canada's Technology Triangle Ambassadors grew to more than 150 and the program became more formalized.
The program now consists of:
- An Ambassador Task Force which meets three times annually, charged with the broad responsibility to steer and inform on the direction of the program;
- An Ambassador Working Group (a planning and contact group); and
- Individual Ambassadors and Ambassador Companies.
