Amenities, Arts & Culture

There are lots of things to see and do within the Waterloo Region. This is the only location where one can see a mixture of rural and urban lifestyles. Rich in heritage and culture, the Waterloo Region is home to the world’s largest Oktoberfest outside of Germany and other annual festivals such as the Wellesley Apple Butter and Cheese Festival and Elmira Maple Festival.

Though keeping a strong rural heritage, the Waterloo Region has also kept up with the changing times. With several shopping complexes, cinemas, restaurants, bars, theatres, galleries and nightclubs, the Waterloo Region does not fall short of any other metropolitan areas in Canada.
