The health care sector in Canada’s Technology Triangle continues to provide forward-looking, first-rate health care for those who live and work in the region. The health care facilities in the area are among the nation ’s top hospitals. All specialities in emergency and preventive care are represented with programs recognized as some of the best in the province. Maclean ’s Magazine recently ranked the area fourth in Canada with respect to health services available.
In 2001, state-of-the-art additions to local health facilities in the area include a new regional Cancer Centre, a new regional Cardiac Centre, extended MRI facilities and improved psychiatric and outpatient care facilities, to name a few.
