2010 Passport to Success
CTT Inc along with our Oktoberfest committee, municipal and corporate partners, once again wrapped up a very successful Passport to Success program. Each year during Oktoberfest, CTT and staff members of the municipalities host a two-day complimentary visit to our innovative Waterloo Region. Invited VIP's are given the opportunity to explore Waterloo Region as a potential location that these individuals or their clients can consider for future development or investment.
The two day event also provides plenty of networking opportunities with members from our thriving business community, and the chance to discover the secrets of their remarkable success. This year VIP's were treated to a tour of sustainable properties throughout the Region, a spirited Oktoberfest dinner with many local industry leaders, and a glimpse of the new Communitech Hub in downtown Kitchener just to name a few. Along with the tour, participants toured the new 'Engineering 5' building and were presented with information on the WatCAR initiative, W.I.S.E. (Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy), the David Johnston Research and Technology Park and the Centre for Advanced Photovoltaic Devices & Systems. Another highlight of the two day event was a keynote speech by Enermodal President Steve Carpenter.
Our diverse Waterloo Region is always growing and continues to make a name for itself on the global scene. With a strong sense of collaboration, access to a wealth of talent and the constant desire to drive positive change, it is no wonder the 2010 Passport to Success event left our VIP's impressed and ready to consider making Waterloo Region home!
